And yes, I see it happening a lot more now - in terms of the conversations I have with other chefs and foodies here in the UK, I think it comes in part from our ability - facilitated by the internet - to understand and access more regional cuisines beyond the Hispanic and Chinese-influenced fiesta foods we always had at parties and celebration (the lumpias, pancits, afritada/menudo/kaldereta etc.)
It may be framed in terms of 'discovering' more of Filipino foods, but it's important for us (me in particular) to remember that these things have always been there
Yeah I think thats the reason kung bakit ganyan ay napaka-popular ng pagkaing fiesta pero di tayo talaga naguusap tungkol sa daily meals na may gulay at sariwang sangkap which hindi talaga magkaiba sa mga pagkain na ASEAN though parang mas sili sa pagkain nila.
